Favicon
Favicons are small icons that appear in the address bar of a web browser and are specific to a particular web site. Not all web sites have a favicon, but every web site can have a favicon.
The term is short for Favourites Icon.
When someone saves their web site as a bookmark or in their favourites, the icon acts as a visual identifier for that web site.

Because of their small size it is usually not possible to have the full company logo as a favicon, but it is normal to try and represent the style of the company in a favicon.
There are a number of free online favicon generators available if you need to make a favicon for a web site.
